Once lovemaking has begun, we count on ourselves and our spouse getting aroused - both physically and subjectively. This section of the Passionate Intimacy Workshop guides couples through common questions and misunderstandings.
What behaviors are ok in marriage? Are different positions, toys, activities helpful or acceptable in married sex? Are there ways to enrich our arousal?
We also look at common misunderstandings in the apex stage. Is it important to reach a climax each time?

Your Instructor
Dr. Sytsma has been working with couples in a variety of capacities since 1987. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia, a Certified Sex Therapist, and a Certified Professional Counseling Supervisor. Michael received his BS in Christian Ministry from Indiana Wesleyan University, an MS in Community Counseling from Georgia State University, and a diploma in Christian counseling from Psychological Studies Institute. Michael also has a Ph.D. from the University of Georgia in Child and Family Development / Marriage and Family Therapy where he specialized in marital sexual therapy. His dissertation was on "Sexual Desire Discrepancy in Married Couples".
He is passionate about marriage and helping couples grow in their marriage. He is Founder and Senior Therapist at Building Intimate Marriages, Inc. and Co-founder of Sexual Wholeness, Inc. He is co-author of Secrets of Sex & Marriage, 8 Surprises that Make all the Difference, with Shaunti Feldhahn and contributor to several other works.
