When we start to explore, it is common that the current methods of initiating sex aren't working very well. "We just want it to be spontaneous" typically results in decreasing frequency of sexual play.
So what works? What can we learn about initiating sex that will help the process to be more natural and respectful of our individual styles? We've learned that setting a couple boundaries in place along with some great expectations can make this stage of lovemaking more relaxed and sensual.

Your Instructor
Dr. Sytsma has been working with couples in a variety of capacities since 1987. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia, a Certified Sex Therapist, and a Certified Professional Counseling Supervisor. Michael received his BS in Christian Ministry from Indiana Wesleyan University, an MS in Community Counseling from Georgia State University, and a diploma in Christian counseling from Psychological Studies Institute. Michael also has a Ph.D. from the University of Georgia in Child and Family Development / Marriage and Family Therapy where he specialized in marital sexual therapy. His dissertation was on "Sexual Desire Discrepancy in Married Couples".
He is passionate about marriage and helping couples grow in their marriage. He is Founder and Senior Therapist at Building Intimate Marriages, Inc. and Co-founder of Sexual Wholeness, Inc. He is co-author of Secrets of Sex & Marriage, 8 Surprises that Make all the Difference, with Shaunti Feldhahn and contributor to several other works.
